Our Leadership

The Winders Family moved to Bloomington to start their ministry at Emmanuel in January of 2022. John served as an Assistant Pastor for six years at his home church in Ellettsville, Indiana, then as a Lead Pastor for seven years in Linton, Indiana. He has a Bachelor's Degree in Bible and is currently pursuing a Master of Divinity through Southern Seminary. John and Heidi are High School Sweethearts and have been married since August of 2006. They have four daughters: Aleah, Ellie Mae, Claira, and Delaney, and a Goldendoodle, Charlie.

Colette Hayslip has been diligently keeping the church office operating smoothly since 2000. She received an Associate of Business Administration from Huntington College in 1981. Colette has chosen to utilize her administrative talents at Emmanuel after serving at several high-level administrative positions in both the banking and publishing industries.
Colette accepted Christ into her life at a young age but has drawn even nearer to God after some trials in her life which have helped her to better understand the Lord’s promise that He will never leave or forsake us. Colette enjoys being with her husband, daughter, and the rest of her family.
